RESPONDING TO COMMENTS ON FEMA international and federal troops
 
 
Some of the comment concerning this article focuses on a semantic trick arising from the fact that the word "troops" was not actually used on the FEMA web page. This is done, inspite of the fact that the mission was defined as "will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection". Such a function cannot be performed without armed force. Can we imagine a force for prevention and protection made up of "observers and advisors".
 
This is clarified later as: "NLE 09 will focus on intelligence and information sharing among intelligence and law enforcement communities, and between international, federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector participants."
 
The term "troops" includes both law enforcement and military. Gestapo storm troopers were militarized police under the control of the central government. It is amazing how easily all governments, including our own, deceive people with semantics. The Korean war was called a "police action". Our entry into Viet Nam was with "observers and advisors".

In every call for more power, for government, there should be strict adherence to the highest law in the land; The Constitution.  
Nothing in any other type of law can abrogate the constitutional rights of American citizens.
We must not destroy freedom in the name of defending freedom.
 
Our constitution did not give the law enforcement function to the federal
government.
The 10th amendment PROHIBITS any federal law enforcement functions.

The constitution is not amended by a judge's opinion.

The 10th amendment is very clear.
The 10th amendment PROHIBITS the federal government from having any other function, other than those that ARE SPECIFICALLY GIVEN TO IT, BY THE CONSTITUTION.
Every DICTATORSHIP gives the law enforcement function to the CENTRAL
government. This is the derivation of the term "POLICE STATE".

FBI stands for Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATION.
When the FBI was formed, the FBI was accepted as constitutional,
on THAT basis. Their job was to GATHER EVIDENCE.
That evidence was then turned over to LOCAL POLICE, who made the arrests.

The BATF was formed to administer over the COLLECTION OF TAXES,

on alcohol, tobacco and firearms.
The BATF was not formed to USE firearms against the American people.
Most crimes are not "federal" in jurisdiction.
Yes, there is no doubt that the scope of the federal government in law
enforcement HAS been expanded.
Where does it stop?
All Dictatorships have national military police; which are under the command of the central government ("police state").
Our founding fathers gave us a constitution, which entrusted all that power to local governments.

 The FBI and BATF actions: at Waco against the Branch Davidians,

and at Ruby Ridge against the Weaver family, are examples of the developing American Gestapo.
Did we not notice the TANKS AND FLAME THROWERS that were being to be used on woman and children?

Do citizens now risk government oppression, for unpopular religious or political beliefs?

Are we free to decide what we want?

NO Charges against the Branch Davidians were ever substantiated. 

Police actions, which occur before trials, must not be executions.
Citizens are innocent until PROVEN guilty in a COURT OF LAW.
If we can be killed in our homes, then there will never be a trial.
It is the job of police, to bring those who are accused of crimes into a court of law, where they will be given a fair trial.
It is NOT the job of police, to KILL those who are accused of crimes in the streets or in their homes, or in anyone else's home.
There are many federal agencies that are creating paramilitary police organizations. These agencies have now been combined under the Department of Homeland Security.
 
It was illegal to use the American military against American citizens, until they abolished Posse Comitatus.
Americans should be aware of this, and should insist that training be done in a manner that respects this reality, and in a manner that does not create precedents, or indoctrinate us for a mind set that would accept the violation
of this law.
 
Constitutional rights:
 
    Freedom of religion
    Freedom of speech
    Freedom of assembly
   The right to keep and bear arms.
 
        Are NOT dependent on which religion or ideology someone believes. If one group can be liquidated, it will just be a matter of time before they get around YOU.
 
The Homeland Security Act formalized the creation of the Gestapo.

It is time to update a famous quote from Rev. Martin Niemoller

An update of this concept, with the United States in mind, would go like this:

Sarah Palin and Mark Sandford are the two governors who are the most likely to oppose federal encroachment. They are both being dragged down at the same time. This just happens to be right before the FEMA martial law training with foreign troops. Is this the biggest coincidence in American history, or is it something else?
 

Sorry  for my pessimistic attitude,  but picture this: 
You are a German citizen in the late1930's or early forties,

Most people do not have a clue about what is coming, and spend all available time in silly amusements.

Imagine this scenario:
Two watchman on the wall lookout across the horizon and see a massive army  approaching. One grabs the trumpet and raises it to his lips to warn the people. The other says:
"Now, wait a minute. If you blow that trumpet you are going to scare a lot of people. The people are asleep now. Would it not be better to let them sleep peacefully until this army is actually inside the city killing people, and setting the city on fire? The people are not ready to hear about this yet. This army has not killed anyone yet. Have they? What can the people do about that army anyway? I think it would be better if we just organize a study club to debate about the issues.
