Violations of Election Laws Continue in SC On Jan 21, 2012

7:10 pm Christopher S. Lawton arrived as poll watcher Pickens county elections office 222 McDaniel Ave B9 Pickens SC 29671 / 864.898.5948

Christopher S. Lawton was immediately ushered into the county council chambers where a projector was displaying 726 or 746 votes broken out by candidates.

Christopher Lawton then inquired where and when those votes were tabulated – and was told they were tabulated at 9:00 am that day and as mail came in. Christopher Lawton was then told he could not be in the secure area. They were very unfriendly and appeared agitated at his presence. When Chris Lawton got his wits he went back and declared that state law allowed him to witness all aspects of the process. Chris Lawton was told there was little space and stand out of the way and not be talking on the phone.

8:00pm – A precinct came in without the “zero” tape (Praters Creek)

8:02 pm – Campaign calls 864.898.5948 number and gets hung up on with no information on the voting process.

8:05 pm – Box 216 comes in with broken seal – Chris Lawton requested serial number of voting machine – told to wait.

8:20pm – Powdersville 2 precinct discs come in unsecured – carried by poll worker in personal folder inside left pocket.

8:53 pm – 3 Sheriff’s officers arrive due to campaign calling election commission’s phone number above and being hung up on without being given any information.

8:55pm – Precinct lady comes in from Clemson 1 precinct writes a report that the boxes and machines for precinct were dropped off at another precinct (Stone Church @ University Baptist Church 411 Pendletion Rd Clemson, SC) . Chris Lawton asked when machines would arrive and was told votes that they where already tabulated and they would be coming in later, then told that they were stored at the church. Never found out exactly where they ended up by the time we departed.

9:10 pm Finally get serial # from unit with broken seal (box 216) V5124783

9:20 pm – Guy Vanatta arrives 864-901-6830

Additional Notes: When La Dona and Chris Lawton went to vote at Sevier Precinct (Greenville County) approx 3:30 pm – We were asked “which party primary were we voting in today?” – since it’s an open primary Chris Lawton  was puzzled by this line of questions and was told they were required to ask.

Maria & Mike Brady of Boiling Springs – Spartanburg County (864-809-8311) where asked a similar question when they asked if they answered non-republican they would NOT be allowed to vote.

The taxpayers are paying for the SCGOP primary due to an SC Supreme Court decision.  NO ONE should have been turned away.

Who instructed them to ask these questions?

Newt Gingrich has cancelled a campaign appearance in South Carolina because of poor attendance.   
 
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Newt Gingrich has cancelled a campaign appearance in South Carolina because of poor attendance.
The Republican presidential candidate was scheduled to speak to the Southern Republican Leadership on Friday. But a campaign spokesman told reporters that he would no longer be appearing due to poor attendance.
There were just a few dozen people in the audience at the College of Charleston’s arena, where the event was taking place. The conference has suffered from low attendance all week but Gingrich rival Rick Santorum went ahead and addressed the group on Thursday.

      Ron Paul Slides into Top Tier – Wins Debate by Telling Iowans — and America — the Truth AMES, IOWA – August 11, 2011 – Thomas Woods – Once again, Ron Paul distinguished himself in a Republican presidential debate by telling Americans the truth, answering the questions he was asked, and refusing to treat his countrymen like ten-year-olds who should be spoken to in bumper-sticker slogans. On the economy, everyone talked about lower taxes, cutting spending, and a balanced budget – the usual boilerplate. Only Ron Paul sought to explain why we have recessions in the first place. Only Ron Paul mentioned the critical role of the Federal Reserve System in blowing up the bubbles that have popped in America over the past decade. Only Ron Paul explained that the monetary system we have, whereby money can be created out of thin air whenever the political class wants it, is a recipe for the very kind of disaster we are living through right now. To be sure, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had some critical words for particular Fed policies, but surely his recent criticism of the Fed is one of the exceedingly rare times, if not the only time, he has made serious mention of the Federal Reserve in over three decades in public life. The only reason any of them will even talk about the Fed is Ron Paul, who took the issue from the depths of obscurity and turned it into a live issue for the first time in the nearly one hundred years of the Fed’s existence. But where Congressman Paul really stood out, of course, was in foreign policy. He dismissed the comments of the neoconservative former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum as “war propaganda,” which indeed Senator Santorum can be relied upon to parrot at every opportunity. He explained that the history of U.S. relations in Iran did not begin with the hostage crisis in 1979, as Senator Santorum tried to pretend. It began with the U.S./British coup in 1953 that brought the oppressive shah to power, and it was resentment over his police state that turned Iranians against the U.S. Before the U.S. government’s interventions in the Middle East, Americans had an excellent reputation in that part of the world – another piece of history our political class ignores. Our delicate ears are not supposed to hear the kinds of things Ron Paul told Americans tonight. We’re supposed to hear “USA! USA!” We are supposed to be flattered, told our leaders have infallible judgment, and urged to believe that anyone who questions that judgment, or who thinks anyone around the world might have a legitimate grievance against the American political class, “hates America.” Given how many grievances we Americans have with our political class, is it really so hard to imagine that other people might, too? Everyone on the stage wanted to talk about budgets, but only Ron Paul pointed out that the wars are costing trillions of dollars, with a sixth war being seriously contemplated. This is pure insanity, and the only person who will level with the American people about it is Ron Paul. It’s hard to imagine one person being so consistently and thoroughly vindicated as Congressman Paul. On the economy in particular, he has been warning for decades about the certain outcome of our monetary system and economic policies. The world is now beginning to undergo the exact convulsions he predicted would result. Ron Paul is the only person on that stage who has the slightest grasp of what is happening in America and around the world right now. All they can do is repeat GOP talking points. Ron Paul knows the economics and the history inside and out. Dr. Paul, who is often too humble even to say “I,” rarely points out in such a setting that he, along among the candidates on stage, had been so prophetic about all this. On the economy, everyone talked about lower taxes, cutting spending, and a balanced budget – the usual boilerplate. Only Ron Paul sought to explain why we have recessions in the first place. Only Ron Paul mentioned the critical role of the Federal Reserve System in blowing up the bubbles that have popped in America over the past decade. Only Ron Paul explained that the monetary system we have, whereby money can be created out of thin air whenever the political class wants it, is a recipe for the very kind of disaster we are living through right now. To be sure, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had some critical words for particular Fed policies, but surely his recent criticism of the Fed is one of the exceedingly rare times, if not the only time, he has made serious mention of the Federal Reserve in over three decades in public life. The only reason any of them will even talk about the Fed is Ron Paul, who took the issue from the depths of obscurity and turned it into a live issue for the first time in the nearly one hundred years of the Fed’s existence. But where Congressman Paul really stood out, of course, was in foreign policy. He dismissed the comments of the neoconservative former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum as “war propaganda,” which indeed Senator Santorum can be relied upon to parrot at every opportunity. He explained that the history of U.S. relations in Iran did not begin with the hostage crisis in 1979, as Senator Santorum tried to pretend. It began with the U.S./British coup in 1953 that brought the oppressive shah to power, and it was resentment over his police state that turned Iranians against the U.S. Before the U.S. government’s interventions in the Middle East, Americans had an excellent reputation in that part of the world – another piece of history our political class ignores. Our delicate ears are not supposed to hear the kinds of things Ron Paul told Americans tonight. We’re supposed to hear “USA! USA!” We are supposed to be flattered, told our leaders have infallible judgment, and urged to believe that anyone who questions that judgment, or who thinks anyone around the world might have a legitimate grievance against the American political class, “hates America.” Given how many grievances we Americans have with our political class, is it really so hard to imagine that other people might, too? Everyone on the stage wanted to talk about budgets, but only Ron Paul pointed out that the wars are costing trillions of dollars, with a sixth war being seriously contemplated. This is pure insanity, and the only person who will level with the American people about it is Ron Paul. It’s hard to imagine one person being so consistently and thoroughly vindicated as Congressman Paul. On the economy in particular, he has been warning for decades about the certain outcome of our monetary system and economic policies. The world is now beginning to undergo the exact convulsions he predicted would result. Ron Paul is the only person on that stage who has the slightest grasp of what is happening in America and around the world right now. All they can do is repeat GOP talking points. Ron Paul knows the economics and the history inside and out.       Ron Paul Slides into Top Tier – Wins Debate by Telling Iowans — and America — the Truth AMES, IOWA – August 11, 2011 – Thomas Woods – Once again, Ron Paul distinguished himself in a Republican presidential debate by telling Americans the truth, answering the questions he was asked, and refusing to treat his countrymen like ten-year-olds who should be spoken to in bumper-sticker slogans. On the economy, everyone talked about lower taxes, cutting spending, and a balanced budget – the usual boilerplate. Only Ron Paul sought to explain why we have recessions in the first place. Only Ron Paul mentioned the critical role of the Federal Reserve System in blowing up the bubbles that have popped in America over the past decade. Only Ron Paul explained that the monetary system we have, whereby money can be created out of thin air whenever the political class wants it, is a recipe for the very kind of disaster we are living through right now. To be sure, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had some critical words for particular Fed policies, but surely his recent criticism of the Fed is one of the exceedingly rare times, if not the only time, he has made serious mention of the Federal Reserve in over three decades in public life. The only reason any of them will even talk about the Fed is Ron Paul, who took the issue from the depths of obscurity and turned it into a live issue for the first time in the nearly one hundred years of the Fed’s existence. But where Congressman Paul really stood out, of course, was in foreign policy. He dismissed the comments of the neoconservative former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum as “war propaganda,” which indeed Senator Santorum can be relied upon to parrot at every opportunity. He explained that the history of U.S. relations in Iran did not begin with the hostage crisis in 1979, as Senator Santorum tried to pretend. It began with the U.S./British coup in 1953 that brought the oppressive shah to power, and it was resentment over his police state that turned Iranians against the U.S. Before the U.S. government’s interventions in the Middle East, Americans had an excellent reputation in that part of the world – another piece of history our political class ignores. Our delicate ears are not supposed to hear the kinds of things Ron Paul told Americans tonight. We’re supposed to hear “USA! USA!” We are supposed to be flattered, told our leaders have infallible judgment, and urged to believe that anyone who questions that judgment, or who thinks anyone around the world might have a legitimate grievance against the American political class, “hates America.” Given how many grievances we Americans have with our political class, is it really so hard to imagine that other people might, too? Everyone on the stage wanted to talk about budgets, but only Ron Paul pointed out that the wars are costing trillions of dollars, with a sixth war being seriously contemplated. This is pure insanity, and the only person who will level with the American people about it is Ron Paul. It’s hard to imagine one person being so consistently and thoroughly vindicated as Congressman Paul. On the economy in particular, he has been warning for decades about the certain outcome of our monetary system and economic policies. The world is now beginning to undergo the exact convulsions he predicted would result. Ron Paul is the only person on that stage who has the slightest grasp of what is happening in America and around the world right now. All they can do is repeat GOP talking points. Ron Paul knows the economics and the history inside and out. Dr. Paul, who is often too humble even to say “I,” rarely points out in such a setting that he, along among the candidates on stage, had been so prophetic about all this.       Ron Paul Slides into Top Tier – Wins Debate by Telling Iowans — and America — the Truth AMES, IOWA – August 11, 2011 – Thomas Woods – Once again, Ron Paul distinguished himself in a Republican presidential debate by telling Americans the truth, answering the questions he was asked, and refusing to treat his countrymen like ten-year-olds who should be spoken to in bumper-sticker slogans. On the economy, everyone talked about lower taxes, cutting spending, and a balanced budget – the usual boilerplate. Only Ron Paul sought to explain why we have recessions in the first place. Only Ron Paul mentioned the critical role of the Federal Reserve System in blowing up the bubbles that have popped in America over the past decade. Only Ron Paul explained that the monetary system we have, whereby money can be created out of thin air whenever the political class wants it, is a recipe for the very kind of disaster we are living through right now. To be sure, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had some critical words for particular Fed policies, but surely his recent criticism of the Fed is one of the exceedingly rare times, if not the only time, he has made serious mention of the Federal Reserve in over three decades in public life. The only reason any of them will even talk about the Fed is Ron Paul, who took the issue from the depths of obscurity and turned it into a live issue for the first time in the nearly one hundred years of the Fed’s existence. But where Congressman Paul really stood out, of course, was in foreign policy. He dismissed the comments of the neoconservative former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum as “war propaganda,” which indeed Senator Santorum can be relied upon to parrot at every opportunity. He explained that the history of U.S. relations in Iran did not begin with the hostage crisis in 1979, as Senator Santorum tried to pretend. It began with the U.S./British coup in 1953 that brought the oppressive shah to power, and it was resentment over his police state that turned Iranians against the U.S. Before the U.S. government’s interventions in the Middle East, Americans had an excellent reputation in that part of the world – another piece of history our political class ignores. Our delicate ears are not supposed to hear the kinds of things Ron Paul told Americans tonight. We’re supposed to hear “USA! USA!” We are supposed to be flattered, told our leaders have infallible judgment, and urged to believe that anyone who questions that judgment, or who thinks anyone around the world might have a legitimate grievance against the American political class, “hates America.” Given how many grievances we Americans have with our political class, is it really so hard to imagine that other people might, too? Everyone on the stage wanted to talk about budgets, but only Ron Paul pointed out that the wars are costing trillions of dollars, with a sixth war being seriously contemplated. This is pure insanity, and the only person who will level with the American people about it is Ron Paul. It’s hard to imagine one person being so consistently and thoroughly vindicated as Congressman Paul. On the economy in particular, he has been warning for decades about the certain outcome of our monetary system and economic policies. The world is now beginning to undergo the exact convulsions he predicted would result. Ron Paul is the only person on that stage who has the slightest grasp of what is happening in America and around the world right now. All they can do is repeat GOP talking points. Ron Paul knows the economics and the history inside and out. Dr. Paul, who is often too humble even to say “I,” rarely points out in such a setting that he, along among the candidates on stage, had been so prophetic about all this.     Romney campaign PAYS POLICE to make random arrests at their event… Attend a Romney event and go to jail. This is what Mitt does when he is NOT the President:  

    My name is Matt Bieber, and I’m a divinity school student with a keen interest in politics. At a Romney Event Yesterday, I Was Removed and Arrested. I Still Don’t Know Why.

    I’d been in New Hampshire for the past several days to follow the campaign and see some of the candidates in-person. Yesterday morning, I was chatting up a Romney campaign staffer before an event at the Gilchrist Manufacturing Company in Hudson, NH, when a police officer approached. Sir, we have to ask you to leave the premises.

    “Sir, is this about my backpack? I’d be happy to show you – there’s nothing dangerous in there.”

    “No, sir – we’ll explain it to you outside.”

    I gathered my things and walked past a group of citizens and press, humiliated and confused.

    Outside, the officer said, “Sir, the campaign has identified you as someone who was at a protest at Romney’s office in Manchester.”

    Now I was really confused. Protest? I didn’t even know there had been protests at Romney’s headquarters, and if there had been, I certainly hadn’t been at them. (Later, after I got out of jail, I looked on the web; I still haven’t found any news stories about protests at Romney’s offices here, though Occupy protesters have attended several of his events.)

    I explained to the officer – his name was Lamarche, and his partner’s was Ducie – that there must have been some misunderstanding. Could I speak to someone from the campaign to clear this up? No. I’d have to leave immediately.

    I asked about his authority to remove me. “We’re working for the Romney campaign,” he said. I asked if he was on-duty; he said he was. My confusion deepened. So was he working for the town of Hudson today, or for the campaign? “Both.” (Later, I think I got it straight: the campaign hired the police for the day, sort of like a private security detail.)

    I thought about Romney’s campaign staff inside. They had mistaken me for someone else, and that was enough – I was out. They had imagined trouble and whisked it away, out of sight. And the police – my police – were being paid to do their bidding.

    I asked again to speak to someone from the campaign or the company who owned the plant. The officer refused; the company had delegated authority to the campaign, and the campaign had authorized the police to remove anyone the campaign didn’t want present. But wouldn’t it be simple for me to just talk to someone and explain the mistake? Too many people around, the cop said. Apparently it would be too big a bother. I either had to leave or face charges for criminal trespass.

    My reason-seeking brain couldn’t take in what was happening. I had come here to be a part of the primary process, to see it first-hand and to write about it. I came because I was curious, and on my own nickel. I wasn’t part of any protest group or in anyone’s employ. Couldn’t we just have a reasonable conversation and figure this out?

    I asked another question or two, and the cop had had enough: “You’re under arrest.” He took my things, handcuffed me behind my back, searched me, and tucked me into a nearby cruiser. A few minutes later, an officer removed me from the cruiser and had me lean up against another police car and spread my legs for a second search. Two or three TV crews had their cameras trained on us; I felt ashamed in a wholly unfamiliar way. I wanted to look directly at the cameras and explain what had happened, but I feared the police officers’ reaction.

    I was tucked into the second cruiser and driven away. The camera crews continued filming. A protester – oh, did I mention that there was an actual protest there? – yelled, “Free the prisoner.”

    At the police station, I was put in a cage and asked to remove my shoes, belt, and sweatshirt. An officer named Manni and another officer processed my paperwork. As they did so, they told me not to go back to “that area” when I was released. I indicated that I understood I wasn’t permitted to be on the company’s land or facilities, but surely I could go back to the street if I so chose – it’s public property, after all. Don’t go back to that area, they said. If you go back, you might cause a disturbance or a riot, and you could be arrested for disorderly conduct.

    I tried to keep calm and ask even-keeled questions. Were they telling me I wasn’t even permitted in the street near the facility? And if so, on what grounds? (I wondered, Is the Romney campaign just permitted to cordon off a whole neighborhood?)

    And then the following exchange took place. I began to ask, “If I express my First Amendment freedoms –

    And Officer Manni interjected, “You’ll probably be arrested.”

    I couldn’t locate words. (I’m not entirely sure he said ‘probably,’ but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.)

    It was clear to me that the two officers had no interest in discussing what the law actually said, or what my rights actually entailed. I was paperwork, and they wanted to get it over with. That didn’t sit well with me, so I kept asking questions. One of the officers then opened up the New Hampshire legal code and read me the definition of disorderly conduct. He read the words dully, as if they were just syllables, with no interest at all in what they meant.

    I asked the officer if he could help me connect what he’d just read with my situation and understand why it would be a problem to return to the street outside the event. He told me that I might return and say things that “aren’t what others think.” It was incredible – he actually paused before he said those words, as if searching for something politically correct to say. I don’t think he realized that the words he found had so little to do with the letter and spirit of our laws and Constitution.

    Nearly four hours after all of this began – after time spent in an actual cell, and then even more time back in the cage – the bail bondsman arrived. He set up an arraignment date, drove me to an ATM so I could extract the $40 bond, and dropped me off at my car. As we parted, he repeated the officers’ advice from earlier: “Don’t hang around this area.” Apparently, even hours after the event had ended, the Romney campaign and the local police were still present, nibbling away at my freedoms.

    Ron Paul’s supporters know who you are. They have your names, addresses, and pictures. There are millions of them now. Even Ron Paul does not control them. They are passionate. Some of them are even fanatical. 
    Losing a fair, honestly counted, election would be a disappointment. Losing our hero to another murder would awaken a sleeping giant like nothing that the world has ever seen before. Then another leader would take his place, and would then lead an even larger freedom movement.
      
    Ron Paul’s supporters essentially control the internet, and the internet can mobilize the whole world in a few hours. Ron Paul has supporters all around the world. Can you imagine a New World Order member locator web page, where people could enter a zip code and locate their local NWO members? There are even a few governments that are not controlled by the New World Order. It was once said that the pen is mightier than the sword. Now we say that the keyboard is mightier than the gun; but then again, the people have both of these.  The Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment in case we ever needed to defend our freedoms.
      
    Ron Paul’s supporters can raise millions of dollars in a single day, when they are not angry. What would happen if they were angry? Did you consider this when you were discussing the killing of Ron Paul?
      
      
    Most of the military personnel support Ron Paul. Those military guys are very patriotic and very well trained. It might not be a good idea to make a few thousand Marines angry. The same is true of the retired military. Did you consider this when you were discussing the killing of Ron Paul? Sleep well.

    Four Security guards decided to unnecessarily beat up a protester, after he was already subdued. The fans in the stadium apparently did not agree with this conduct. They swarm the field and show these bullies how it feels. Tyranny like any other types of bullying is usually based on bluff. The people can prevail.
     Sometimes we can learn a lot about nature by watching other creatures. Victims tend to fear the bullies until they get mad enough to resist. The video below shows a large pride of lions ganging up on the smallest water buffalo calf.
    Watch what happens when the whole herd gets mad enough to fight back.The most powerful force on earth is an idea whose time has come. Sometimes the little people rise up and take their country back from a corrupt powerful elite.
