SC House GOP voted to protect corruption and secrecy
“The State” newspaper characterized Representative Jonathon Hill (R-Anderson) as
“Least liked member of the South Carolina House of Representatives”.
We might want to ask The State who they had polled.
Is “fake news” the euphemism for out right lying?
Getting the list of those who “The State” had polled would be useful to the voters.
These are the corrupt swamp creatures who should be removed from office.
Among normal people, who love liberty, expect politicians to be honest, and to respect the Constitution, Jonathon Hill is tied for first place as the most popular member of the South Carolina House of Representatives.
We should not be surprised that those who expose corruption are not liked by those who are corrupt. Exposing the corruption is the real reason that the House Republican Caucus voted to expel Jonathon Hill last week. What is surprising is the fact that the House Republican Caucus would overtly admit that they are in favor of corruption.
Only in his fifth year of service, Rep. Hill has fought an uphill battle to not only defend your rights and keep government small, but also to expose all the secretive self-serving deal making that protects the Representatives that betray us.
Rep. Hill has racked up quite a list of accomplishments in his five short years:
He’s managed to expose the constitutional gun rights Republicans by forcing them to cast a recorded vote on a bill that would remove state-imposed infringements on your right to keep and bear arms. That recorded vote broke the log-jam of secrecy that had stalled Constitutional Carry in the House for more than eight years.
While every legislator that we elected has sworn an oath to support and to defend the constitution, why is there any debate about whether or not we will support and to defend the constitution?

Just a few weeks ago, Jonathon Hill exposed and then defeated an attempt to fund Planned Parenthood with your tax dollars. Our Declaration of Independance says that the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are inanienable rights that are endowed by our Creator. Why is there any debate about whether or not we have the right to life?
Jonathon Hill also exposed the corrupt method by which South Carolina judges get appointed.
For these things, and so much more, House Republican Majority Leader Gary Simrill (R – York) wrote to The State, “Rep. Hill’s actions are against everything our body stands for.”
In fact, Speaker Jay Lucas (R-Darlington) and Majority Leader Gary Simrill (R-York), and other corrupt and self-serving members of the House GOP Caucus feel so strongly that fighting for unborn babies, gun rights, lower taxes and exposing self-serving corrupt politicians is so “against everything [they] stand for” they kicked Rep. Hill out on Tuesday of last week.
Yes, you read that right, the House GOP Caucus “suspended” Rep. Hill on Tuesday for exposing the corruption they are trying to hide.
Hill is still a voting Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. But he can no longer meet with the GOP Caucus.
It is likely that your Republican Representative voted against Rep. Hill.
The State reported that only three Republicans voted to protect Hill from the wrath of Rep. Lucas and Rep. Simrill.
Rep. Josiah Magnuson (R-Greenville), Rep. Mac Toole (R-Lexington), and Rep. Hill, himself, are the only ones The State reported to have voted in favor of Hill. Sources have confirmed that two others, Rep. Adam Morgan (R-Greenville) and Rep. Davey Hiott (R-Pickens) also voted for Hill.
Magnuson, Toole, Morgan, and Hiott should be thanked for their principled support of Hill’s work to expose corruption in Columbia.
If your representative abstained, tell him that you would prefer to have a representative with the courage to stand up for what is right.
All House Republicans who cast a vote to protect the secretive back room deals are protecting these self-serving back-stabbing politicians.
Are you tired of politicians who lie to your face when they want your vote to stay in office, but betray you behind closed doors and are never held accountable?
This is what Rep. Hill is working to expose. And this is why he was kicked out of the House Republican Caucus.
So here is what you can do:
1. Pray for Hill. He’s a tenacious fighter with faith in the Lord. But every man, in the heat of battle, needs to be sustained by the prayers of others. Pray for his strength, wisdom, and protection.
2. Contact your state Representative.

Make sure they understand how disappointed you are with their vote to boot Hill from the caucus.
Oh yes, they will give you the party line about how terrible Hill is.
But remember, Hill has a demonstrated record of fighting for you and exposing their corruption.
So, don’t believe them. If Magnuson, Toole, Morgan, or Hiott is your representative. Be sure to thank them.
If your representative abstained, tell him that you would prefer to have a representative with the courage to stand up for what is right.
3. Contact Hill and give him your support. Even better, give him some money. Right now, he needs to prepare for the primary election challenge that the corrupt GOP leadership are mounting against him. Every dollar counts, so please chip in, even if you can only give $5.
